Job Description:
We are seeking a Housing Options Officer to join our dedicated Housing Options, Homelessness, and Prevention team. In this vital role, you’ll support vulnerable residents — including families, children, and adults — helping them to secure and maintain safe, suitable accommodation.
Job Details:
- Catmose, Oakham, Rutland, LE15 6HP
- 37 hours per week
- £16.00 per hour (umbrella)
- 4+ month contract
What you’ll do:
- Deliver a high-quality housing advice and triage service for those at risk of homelessness.
- Investigate and assess homelessness cases in line with legislation and statutory duties.
- Work closely with registered providers, landlords, and partner agencies to find housing solutions.
- Manage housing register applications and allocate vacancies according to the Allocations Policy.
- Support customers to keep existing accommodation and signpost to appropriate services.
- Assist with temporary accommodation arrangements, including budget and prevention fund management.

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Experience working with vulnerable individuals and partner agencies.
