Rental Engineer – Installations, Commissioning, Repair & PPM

Midlands & North (Field-Based)
£40K–£45K D2D + Overtime + Company Vehicle + 26 Hols + Medical

A leading manufacturer-backed HVAC specialist is seeking a skilled and motivated Rental Field Service Engineer to join their expanding rental division. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, technical variety, and travel within the region.

The Role

• Install, commission, decommission, maintain, and service rental chillers and HVAC systems

• Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on rental fleet

• Liaise with customers on-site to ensure high service standards and identify future opportunities

• Mentor apprentices where required and uphold professional standards

• Accurately complete service documentation and coordinate with service teams

Background

• Experience in a similar HVAC/chiller service role

• Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent mechanical/electrical engineering training

• F-Gas certification with confidence in safe refrigerant handling (hydrocarbon experience a bonus)

• Strong electrical fault-finding and control systems knowledge

• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, independent approach to work

• Willing to travel throughout the Midlands and North, with occasional visits to service hubs

Package

• £40K–£45K basic salary + door-to-door pay

• OTE £55K-£60K
