Job Description:

Role: Hydraulic Field Service Engineer

Location: Field Based

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 Depending on experience

Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated Hydraulic Field Service Engineer to join their growing team. This is a hands-on role involving on-site diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and installation of hydraulic systems and components across a range of industrial and mobile equipment.

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on hydraulic systems, including pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and pipework
• Install, commission, and test hydraulic equipment
• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical drawings
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Provide technical advice and support to customers on-site
• Complete detailed service reports and documentation
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
• Participate in on-call rota

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience working with hydraulic systems (mobile or industrial)
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic diagrams
• Mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent preferred)
• Full clean driving licence
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
