APT Education is recruiting a dedicated KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a Coventry primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with children in Key Stage 2 (KS2) who have a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), non‑verbal communication, EAL (English as an Additional Language), and personal care requirements.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small‑group support for KS2 pupils with SEN needs
• Assist with personal care routines, communication strategies, and social development
• Adapt KS2 resources and activities to meet individual learning requirements
• Support non‑verbal and EAL learners with communication and inclusion
• Promote positive behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to track pupil progress

👤 Candidate Requirements

• UK primary school experience is essential
• Proven experience supporting pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and EAL
• Strong understanding of KS2 curriculum and child development
• Empathetic, patient, and resilient approach to working with older primary‑age pupils
• Enhanced DBS and references (APT Education will support with compliance)
• A genuine passion for supporting pupils of primary age and helping them thrive
