Role: Lead Estimator/Technical Administrator
Salary: £28,000 - 32,000 per annum + Benefits (23 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension scheme, life assurance, bonus, share scheme)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am till 4:30pm. This is an office-based, not a hybrid role.
Location: Commutable from Mansfield, Nuthall, Matlock, Little Eaton, Derby and Nottingham and surrounding areas

The opportunity:
My client are looking for a technically-minded, proactive Lead Estimator/Technical Administrator to join their fun, friendly and dynamic team. This isn’t just a back-office role, you will be right at the heart of projects, liaising between architects, builders, designers and our factory teams to ensure everything runs smoothly.
If you’ve got a background in design, or even working on the tools in fabrication, engineering, or light metalwork assembly and are looking for an office role and enjoy working with both technical drawings and people, this could be the perfect step in your career.
Key responsibilities:
• Customer-facing experience with the ability to confidently explain technical aspects to clients, including architects, property developers.
• Ability to use CAD as this role would require you to create your own drawings, Advanced Excel, experience of putting together estimations, creating sheets, quotes and formulas. Further training will be given.
• Good customer interaction as you would be working closely with the customer from an architect to a builder, so would need to be able to adapt your communication style
• SAP knowledge would be advantage but not essential as full training will be given.
• Basic understanding of structural elements is advantageous.
• Ability to read and technically appraise drawings.
• Hands on support to answer any questions from the production team in the factory.
