Package Details

• Salary £37,000–£40,000 (potentially up to £42,000 for the right person)

• No call-out requirement

• Travel paid minus the first 30 minutes

• 23 days holiday, rising to 25 days

• Van or van-derived car with private use

• BUPA Mental Health Support

• Monthly commission £200–£600

• Training, qualifications, and ongoing development

• 40 hours per week, 8am–5pm

• Office attendance required only a few times per month

Role Overview
This Senior Fire Alarm Engineer position is designed for someone ready to move beyond day-to-day engineering and step into a more influential, technical, and developmental role. While you will remain hands-on when needed, the focus shifts towards raising performance, improving standards, and providing guidance across the engineering team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Auditing engineering work and ensuring high-quality standards

• Delivering training, coaching, and hands-on development to engineers

• Supporting with technical queries, complex faults, and some commissioning

• Advising on best practice and helping shape engineering processes

• Meeting clients and attending sites for technical support and reviews

• Driving continuous improvement across the engineering function

This role suits an engineer with strong fire alarm experience who enjoys helping others progress and is ready to step into a technical leadership pathway. Experience with Gent systems is preferred but not essential.
