Who are we looking for?

Burton and South Derbyshire College is looking for a strong candidate to lead our Exam Invigilators and to support the smooth running of exams across the academic year. The role is term time and will normally be five mornings a week however flexibility would be required during our busier exam periods, with the need be in work from 8:30am and a willingness to work around two or three evenings a year until 8-9pm.

The role will include some invigilation as well as supporting the Exams and Data teams with administrative tasks when needed. The role may also involve reading or scribing for learners who require additional support. Exams are held at both our Burton Town Centre campus and the Steven Burke Construction Academy in Swadlincote, so you’ll need to be willing and able to travel to either site if needed.

We’re looking for a calm and friendly individual who is confident line managing a team of Invigilators as well as working with post-16 and adult learners. A basic level of IT competency is essential, as you’ll be expected to support computer-based exams when required.

Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
