Mechanical Engineering Lectuer ( Specialism in CNC, CAD + CAM)
A leading provider of Further and Higher Education is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering to join their dynamic and forward-thinking team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and support learners across a range of levels, with a particular focus on CAD, CAM and CNC on a full time permanent basis. There is also the possibility if for temp to perm.
You will play a key role in designing and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that reflect industry standards, while also providing academic and pastoral support to ensure learners achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment in Mechanical Engineering (specialising in CAD, CAM and CNC).
Contribute to curriculum design and development to align with industry needs.
Provide academic guidance and pastoral support to learners.
Undertake assessment, marking and progress monitoring to ensure student success.
Participate in CPD and collaborate with colleagues to share best practice.
Requirements (Must-Have):
A minimum of a Level 5 qualification (e.g. Bachelor’s degree) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Desirable:
Recent industry experience in CAD, CAM and CNC.
Experience teaching or supporting learners within FE or HE.
