We are a well-established and growing regional main contractor delivering high-quality construction projects across the Midlands. Operating across a range of sectors across commercial build, including education, accommodation, care,Β we deliver schemes up to Β£30m in value and have built a strong reputation for quality, collaboration and long-term client relationships.
Due to continued project wins and a strong pipeline of secured work, we are looking to appoint an M&E Manager to strengthen our delivery team.
The Role
As M&E Manager, you will take responsibility for managing mechanical and electrical packages across multiple projects, typically overseeing up to four live schemes, with at least one project in pre-construction at any given time.
This role would particularly suit someone with a strong mechanical background, although candidates with balanced M&E experience will also be considered.
You will play a key role in ensuring building services elements are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme, cost and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Managing M&E packages across multiple construction projects across the Midlands
Overseeing projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover
Supporting design coordination and technical reviews during pre-construction
Managing subcontractors and specialist supply chain partners
Monitoring programme delivery and ensuring services installation aligns with construction progress
Working closely with project teams to manage costs, variations and technical queries
Ensuring compliance with health & safety and quality standards
Acting as the key liaison between design teams, subcontractors and internal project teams
Supporting commissioning, testing and handover processes
About You
We are looking for a proactive and technically strong M&E professional who enjoys working within a collaborative project environment.
Experience & Skills
Experience managing M&E packages within construction projects
Strong mechanical bias or background preferred
Experience delivering M&E packages up to approximately Β£2.5m
Good understanding of building services coordination and installation sequencing
Strong subcontractor and stakeholder management skills
Commercial awareness and ability to manage variations and technical challenges
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
