Job Description:

Machine Repair Technician – Grantham – £25,000 - £28,000 PA
  
If you enjoy working on basic engineering tasks to include hands on repair work and looking after production machinery to keep operations flowing then this Machine Repair Technician could be perfect for you!

Working with a business on the outskirts of Grantham this job would provide full training and career progression for the right person. As part of an inhouse production team you would be part of a team overseeing the production machinery to ensure it is running efficiently and any faults are monitored and repaired.
 
Machine Repair Technician’s Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine machinery maintenance and minor mechanical repairs to ensure optimal performance of processing and treatment equipment.
• Calibrate and operate product treatment lines to ensure accurate and safe application of chemical treatments
• Monitor and adjust equipment settings to maintain correct processing parameters and minimise mechanical downtime.
• Inspect and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues in cleaning, intake, and treatment lines, escalating complex faults to the Plant Manager.
• Maintain accurate records of chemical usage, machine calibration, clean downs, and repairs in compliance with certification and Health & Safety standards.

  
Skills & Experience Required as a Machine Repair Technician:

• Basic mechanical and engineering aptitude, with hands-on experience in machinery operation or maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to follow technical procedures with precision and consistency.
• Good problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve mechanical and operational issues independently.
• Forklift Truck (FLT) experience – desirable but not essential
