Electrical Engineer – Distribution Centre – Coalville

Salary: £38,000–£41,000 per year + Standby (£190/week)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Coalville

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join a busy distribution centre in Kegworth. This is a hands-on, varied role maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems across warehouse and automation equipment.

You will work as part of a small technical team, covering planned maintenance, breakdown response, and system upgrades, ensuring the facility runs safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems, equipment, and warehouse automation.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns.
• Participate in a 1 in 5 standby callout rota, providing support outside normal hours.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and company procedures.
• Work closely with site operations to minimise downtime and maintain productivity.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Electrical Engineer (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Experience in industrial/commercial electrical maintenance, ideally within a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Willingness to participate in standby/rota system.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
