Job Description:
A well-established and globally respected food manufacturing company based in Leicester is looking for a number of Maintenance Engineers to join the team. Along with a salary of c£55,000 per annum, you will receive a fantastic range of benefits including a quarterly bonus scheme (approx. £1,200 - £3,000 annually), subsidised canteen, generous staff discounts and 23 shifts leave, plus your birthday off!
You will be mechanically or electrically biased and will play a key role in keeping the operations running smoothly, working across both proactive and reactive maintenance activities. The modern production facility has recently benefitted from significant investment, ensuring they stay at the forefront of the industry with state-of-the-art equipment and systems.
As Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance on plant, equipment, and systems
- Minimising downtime by working towards maximum equipment efficiency
- Supporting the delivery of planned engineering tasks on time and in full
- Maintaining documentation and CMMS records accurately
- Collaborating closely with production teams to meet daily targets
- Following best practices in repair, manufacturing processes, and health & safety
- Contributing to ongoing cost-reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives
What we’re looking for in a Maintenance Engineer:
- Apprenticeship trained engineer
- Recognised qualifications – City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or ideally ONC / HNC
- Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
- Experience in manufacturing or production environments is essential
You will be working on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern – rotating days and nights (12-hour shifts).
