About the Role

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our clients CNC and specialist production machinery operating at peak performance across their Leicester sites.

You’ll be part of a supportive maintenance team, working on a wide variety of equipment and taking ownership of both planned and reactive maintenance tasks. No two days are the same — one moment you’ll be fault-finding a gearbox issue, the next you could be refurbishing a production line component or diagnosing a PLC fault.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering mechanical maintenance and repair on a wide range of CNC and specialist machinery.
• Working on gearboxes, bearings, shafts, drive chains, pumps and tanks.
• Managing reactive breakdowns and minimising downtime.
• Leading or supporting major refurbishment projects on machinery and plant.
• Using your experience with PLC fault finding and interrogation (Fanuc & Siemens).
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance to keep equipment in top condition.
• Ensuring all work complies with health, safety and legal requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a maintenance engineering environment.
• Hands-on experience fault-finding and repairing CNC multi-axis machines.
• Confident with Fanuc and Siemens controls.
• Strong mechanical problem-solving skills and a proactive, safety-conscious attitude.
• Someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in quality, and wants to make a real difference on the shop floor.
