Orion is proud to be working with a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing company based in Coventry. We are currently seeking a skilled and methodical Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical bias to join their growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and ambitious Maintenance Engineer who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Shift Pattern:

3-week rotating shifts (Monday to Friday):

• Week 1: 7am – 3pm
• Week 2: 3pm – 11pm
• Week 3: 11pm – 7am

Key Responsibilities:

• Reactive maintenance of machinery including boilers, steam pumps, conveyors, and extractors
• 80% mechanical / 20% electrical maintenance
• Conducting PPMs and line improvement tasks
• Fault finding using PLCs
• Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics
• Implementing solutions to reduce downtime in line with engineering strategy
• Root cause analysis to improve plant performance
• Supporting machine setup with operations team
• Delivering a first-class engineering service

What We’re Looking For:

• Recognised mechanical qualifications (NVQ Level 3, BTEC Level 3 or equivalent)
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills
• PLC experience
• Proven experience in machinery maintenance (PPMs and reactive)
• Background in FMCG environments
• Passion for continuous improvement
