Maintenance Engineer

Job Description:

Due to increased orders, this aerospace manufacturing business in Leicester is on the lookout for three engineers across three shifts. A weekday role which does involve nights (3 shift rotation), A weekend days and weekend nights to enhance the current team. You will be responsible for both proactive and reactive maintenance of a wide variety of CNC machines, tooling and robot cells, no two days are the same, If you are an engineer that likes to be challenged, and learn new skills then this is the role for you. The role as a maintenance engineer

• Respond to machine breakdowns and facility issues with professionalism and urgency
• Develop and support preventative maintenance schedules
• Work on continuous improvement projects
• Contribute to safety initiatives and facility improvement projects
• Work both independently and collaboratively in a shift-based team
• Liaise with contractors while ensuring compliance with site policies

Skills and Qualifications required in this Maintenance engineers role

• Apprentice trained or a minimum of a level 3 Engineering Qualification
• Strong maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with CNC machinery (Siemens, Heidenhain, Fanuc)
• Knowledge of drives, pneumatics, and hydraulics
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Desirable:
• 18th Edition wiring regulations
• Mechanical skills (e.g., spindle rebuilds, bearing replacements)

The different shift patterns of the Maintenance Engineer required are:

• 3 shift rotation Monday to Friday.
• 0545-1345 Earlies
• 1345-2145 Lates
• 2145-0545 Night shift On a Friday it’s a shorter day   0545-1045 Earlies , 1045-1545 Lates , 1545-2145 Nights
• Weekend day shift which is Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 0545-1745
• Weekend Nights Friday, Saturday & Sunday 6pm - 6am

The Benefits of this Maintenance Engineers position

Basic salary of £38000 - £42000 with shift premium

Weekday shift premium 21% = £45,980 -£50,820

Weekend Days shift premium 23% £46,740 - £51,660

Weekend nights shift premium 40% £53,200- £58,800
