
Salary: £55,000+ per annum
Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts (42 hours per week)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join a large, modern, highly automated manufacturing site undergoing continued investment and growth. You will work within a structured engineering function where development is actively encouraged — including clear examples of engineers progressing into senior leadership roles.
Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned and reactive maintenance to maximise equipment availability and performance.
Work safely at all times, following isolation procedures and site safety standards.
Support continuous improvement using structured problem-solving tools (PDCA, RCA).
Provide feedback to planners and engineering leadership to improve schedules, spares, and maintenance strategies.
Complete pre- and post-maintenance quality checks.
Manage lubrication activities including mapping, execution, and simplification.
Train and support autonomous maintenance teams on Clean–Inspect–Lubricate routines and fault diagnosis.
Lead or contribute to root cause analysis investigations.
Promote and maintain strong 5S standards across the plant.
You will work on a wide range of modern, automated machinery including:
Conveyors and material handling systems
Automated processing and packaging equipment
Drives, motors, and control systems
Typical fault exposure includes:
Electrical fault-finding
Motors, drives, and inverters
Sensors, relays, and control circuits
Bearings, belts, chains, and gearboxes
Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (approx. 60/40 electrical/mechanical or vice versa)
Electrical qualification essential
NVQ Level 3 or time-served apprenticeship (degree-only profiles not considered)
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong fault-finding mindset and willingness to learn
Motivated, team-focused, and curious to continuously develop

Apprentice trained background
Salary circa £55,000 (flat rate)
Quarterly performance bonus (£325 – £750)
