Maintenance Engineer

Job Description:

This is a proper maintenance role in a stable manufacturing business.

Not a project-only post.

Not a PLC-heavy automation role.

Not a paper exercise.

You’ll be part of a hands-on engineering team keeping plant safe, compliant and running as it should.

The job

Electrically biased maintenance role covering a mix of planned and reactive work.

You’ll be:

• Fault-finding on electrical systems
• Carrying out PPMs via a CMMS
• Responding to breakdowns and getting kit back online
• Supporting shutdowns and upgrades
• Working closely with production to reduce downtime and waste

There’s an expectation of pride in housekeeping, safe working and doing things properly.

Shifts

8-hour rotating shifts.

• Week 1: 6am to 2pm
• Week 2: 2pm to 10pm
• Week 3: 6am to 2pm
• Week 4: 2pm to 10pm
• Week 5: Nights, 8pm to 6am Monday to Wednesday, Thursday off, Friday 6am to 4pm

40 hours per week.

The package

• £48,000 basic
• Overtime paid at 1.5x
• Stable shift pattern
• Long-term role, not a stopgap
