Job Description:
A maintenance engineer role where you don't be firefighting all day and will have a blend of planned and reactive work, as well as the opportunity to get involved in CI and installation projects.
You'll be joining an established food manufacturer which produces a range of high quality products and offers benefits including bonus scheme, company pension, and life assurance.
The site is commutable from Leicester, Nottingham, Grantham and surround areas.
About the Role
As a key part of the engineering team at a well-invested site, as maintenance engineer your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site to minimise downtime and improve reliability.
- Prioritising and responding quickly to breakdowns.
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives using RCA techniques.
- Supporting various CI, equipment upgrade, and Capex projects.
- Developing strong working relationships with the rest of the engineering team and colleagues in production.
About You
- Apprentice trained engineer, with an electrical or mechanical bias, with a strong background in planned and reactive engineering maintenance.
- Experience ideally gained in food, drink, or FMCG manufacturing.
- Able to manage and prioritise your workload in a fast paced environment.
- Proactive, methodical approach to engineering, looking for long-term solutions problems.
- A team player, willing to learn from and help colleagues.
