MAINTENANCE LEAD (MULTI-SITE)

Job Description:

Serendipitys Childcare Group Multi-site role (Nottinghamshire & surrounding areas) per year Mileage Allowance (business mileage paid)

Full-time (40 hours per week)

The Role

We are looking for a Maintenance Lead to take ownership of maintenance across our growing group of nurseries and cafés (currently 7 sites, with further expansion planned).

This is not an “odd jobs” role. You will be responsible for leading, organising and delivering maintenance works across multiple sites, ensuring our environments remain safe, compliant and of a high standard.

You will manage your own workload, as well as lead and develop a small maintenance team.

Due to the nature of our businesses, there will be a requirement to work evenings and weekends when necessary, as many works cannot be completed during operating hours.

Key Responsibilities

· Carrying out a wide range of maintenance and improvement works across sites

· Planning, scheduling and prioritising maintenance tasks

· Managing maintenance budgets and making cost-effective decisions

· Managing rotas and workloads for a small maintenance team

· Ensuring all work meets Health & Safety and compliance standards

· Maintaining high standards across all properties

· Supporting site managers with maintenance issues and solutions

Skills & Experience Required

· Recognised trade qualification (preferred)

· Strong, hands-on ability across multiple disciplines including:

o Painting & decorating

o Joinery

o Tiling

o Brickwork

o Plastering

o Basic electrics

o Basic plumbing

· Experience managing people or leading small teams

· Good working knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety at Work

· Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the role

· Strong organisational skills and practical problem-solving mindset

· £36,000 per year
