Management Accountant

Job Description:

Our client, an SME based in Oakham, are recruiting a management accountant, or bookkeeper, to join them initially on a temporary basis, with a view to permanent for the right person.

Description

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and statements.
• Analyse financial data to provide actionable insights and reports to management.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure financial goals are met.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.
• Provide support for audits and liaise with external auditors when required.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

• A recognised qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field, although QBE would be be fine too.
• Experience working within the accounting and finance department, preferably in the leisure, travel & tourism industry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.

Job Offer

• An hourly or daily rate equivalent to £40-50,000 + benefits.
