Job Description:

Role: Mechanical Assembler

Location: Groby, LE6

Pay: £12.21 per hour

Hours: Monday-Wednesday 7.30am-4.30pm, Thursday 7.30am-4pm, Friday 7.30am-1pm

Contract: 12-month temporary role with the potential to go permanent

• Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies according to technical drawings and work instructions
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to ensure assemblies meet required specifications
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to confirm product quality
• Identify and report any faults, defects, or deviations from standards to the quality team
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation in line with health and safety policies
• Support process improvements by providing feedback on tools, fixtures, and assembly methods

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on assembly experience
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to follow technical drawings and work instructions accurately
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a team environment
