We are a specialist fit out contractor delivering high-quality mechanical and building services solutions across commercial and specialist environments. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join our team, based from our Leicester office with responsibility for refurbishment and fit out managing projects nationwide.
The successful candidate will take full ownership of mechanical packages from pre-construction through to final handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Manage multiple mechanical fit out projects from award through to completion and final account
Take full responsibility for programme, cost control, quality, and compliance
Coordinate mechanical design development, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover
Manage and support site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
Attend site meetings and client meetings as required
Ensure all works are delivered in line with health & safety legislation and company procedures
Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for senior management
Manage variations, valuations, and final accounts
Liaise closely with clients, consultants, and main contractors to maintain strong working relationships
Support estimating and pre-construction teams where required
Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager (or similar) within the fit out, M&E, or building services sector
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, pipework, plant, etc.)
Experience managing projects from inception to completion
Sound commercial awareness and contract management experience
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Full UK driving licence (essential)
A Mechanical Qualification will be highly desirable
