In a nutshell…

Our client, is a leading special purpose engineering cutting tool manufacturer, supplying high-quality broach tools to the Aerospace and Automotive sectors. With a reputation for engineering excellence and continued growth, they are now seeking a Mechanical Technical Design Engineer to join their team in Leicester.

The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering design, strong 2D/3D CAD skills (preferably Autodesk Inventor), and hold at least an HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.

What's involved for the Mechanical Technical Design Engineer…

• Create design layouts for quotation purposes
• Develop detailed technical designs and specifications based on customer enquiries
• Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings using Autodesk Inventor
• Assist with technical support and root cause analysis
• Support production teams with technical queries
• Collaborate with the wider team to ensure smooth project delivery

What you'll need…

• HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
• Proven experience in an engineering design role
• 2D & 3D CAD experience - ideally Autodesk Inventor
• Previous experience in a Precision Engineering environment is a bonus
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This is a Full time, permanent Mechanical Technical Design Engineer role, working Monday to Friday with flexible working hours.
