Mechanical Design Engineer

Nottinghamshire

£30,000 – £45,000 + Potential Bonus + Half Day Friday

The Company

Our client designs and manufactures bespoke mechanical systems for the Oil & Gas and Power Markets.  All the products they design are custom engineered solutions with a huge variety in the size and application of the products.

The business has a very stable history with their roots dating back over 50 years and they have experienced good growth in recent years with turnover now around £10 million.

The business employs around 50 staff in the UK and are backed by a large international group.

The business are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer with some SolidWorks experience, the business is ready to recruit with immediate effect so please apply online for s speedy consideration.

The Role

The role of Mechanical Design Engineer will involve:

• Creating 3D models of components on SolidWorks
• Producing 2D detailed general arrangement drawings
• Carrying out DFM reviews with production for product feasibility
• Some of the key components being modelled in SolidWorks include shafts, blades, levers, linkages and seals.
• The components are a mixture of sheet metal and machined components

The Candidate

To be successful in your application for this Mechanical Design Engineer role you will need:

• Some experience in using SolidWorks
• Experience in a design engineering or CAD related position
• To enjoy working in a team based environment
• Someone who enjoys designing bespoke products
