Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Tutor
Location: PRU, Nottingham
Salary: £130 – £190 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineering Tutor to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Nottingham. This is a unique opportunity to inspire and support students who thrive in alternative educational settings, helping them build practical skills and confidence in mechanical engineering.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineering Tutor:

• Deliver engaging and hands-on mechanical engineering lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Support students in developing practical skills in mechanics, machinery, and engineering principles.
• Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and growth.
• Work closely with other staff to develop personalised learning plans and track student progress.
• Foster positive relationships with students, promoting resilience and a love for learning.

Requirements for Mechanical Engineering Tutor:

• Strong background in mechanical engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience working with young people, ideally in alternative or SEN settings.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
• An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
