Mechanical/Field Service Engineer

Job Description:

This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer/Field service Engineer to contribute to innovative projects within the Water & Wastewater / Environmental Infrastructure . The role is based in Nottingham and surrounding areas, focusing on delivering engineering solutions in a permanent capacity.

Description

• Install, commission, set up and test water filtration and wastewater treatment systems.
• Carry out site inspections, fault‑finding and condition surveys, producing reports to support quotations and project delivery.
• Interpret technical instructions and documentation using mobile electronic devices.
• Work safely in challenging environments, including confined spaces, at height and outdoors on wastewater sites.
• Travel regularly with overnight stays and undertake occasional workshop‑based work.
• Work collaboratively with engineers, technicians and other trades.
• Completed a recognised mechanical apprenticeship with City & Guilds or equivalent qualification.

Profile

A successful Mechanical Engineer should have:

• Hold a full, valid UK driving licence.
• Level 3 City & Guilds Qualified
• Served a recognised mechanical apprenticeship
• Travel regularly between sites, often requiring overnight stays.

Job Offer

• Salary Circa £30,000 to £50,000 OTE DOE.
