Mechanical Fitter

Job Description:

We are currently looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters to work for one of our clients in Burton on Trent on a temp to perm basis

The client is a market-leading manufacturer of specialist equipment to a range of industry sectors including heavy engineering and aerospace.

Due to the specialist nature of the products the work is both interesting and varied and will involve the build and assembly of a wide range of components on large special purpose machinery along with some maintenance work.

Working from drawings from base materials through to finished product the main duties of this mechanical fitters role will include the following:-

• Assembly of smaller components
• Building of sub-assemblies and main product
• Preparation of finished product for dispatch
• Attending various sites to carry out both installation and maintenance duties

The ideal candidates must be experienced Mechanical Fitters, preferable having served a recognised apprenticeship and possess relevant qualifications.  They will ideally used to working with heavy machinery and/or large plant. The ability to read and understand diagrams is essential.  Previous experience of troubleshooting/fault finding and maintenance is also desirable.

Candidates must also be prepared to work on site as and when required
