Mechanical Fitter/Engineer
Location: Anglian Water
Employment Type: Permanent or Contract
We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Mechanical Fitter/Engineer to join our team working on a key project in Anglian Water. You'll be part of a small, dedicated team (3-4 individuals, including a supervisor) responsible for essential mechanical installation and maintenance within the water industry. We are looking for individuals who are committed to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Fitter/Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Installing various mechanical components, including pipework, valves, pumps, and motors.
- Performing planned maintenance checks to ensure optimal system performance.
- Undertaking assigned activities efficiently and effectively under the direction of a Supervisor or Team Leader.
- Adhering strictly to all safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Staying informed about new mechanical and piping legislation.
- Ensuring all work is completed to the appropriate levels of safety, quality, and cost.
- Taking proper care of all safety equipment and tools provided, ensuring their correct and safe use.
- Working effectively as part of a team, contributing to successful communication and positive behaviours on site.
- Working on a construction site, which may involve working in cramped conditions or at height.
Essential Requirements
- CSCS Card
- Confined Space Medium Risk Certification
- Proven experience within the water industry.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Strong commitment to health and safety.
- Enthusiastic and committed to the team's purpose, sharing responsibility for performance.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- Anglian Water Passport to Work (we can provide this for the right candidate).
