Mechanical Fitter - Temporary with the potential to become permanent
Corby - Northamptonshire UK
£28,500 - £32,500 per annum
Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30 Friday 07:30 - 13:30

Are you looking for a hands-on role where quality matters? We are currently looking for people who have previously worked as Mechanical Fitters, Mechanical Technicians, Engineering Fitters or Mechanical Engineers to join a well-established engineering company. Our client has over 20 year's experience producing premium, durable products that help customers work smarter, safer, and more efficiently.

The Role

• To carry out heavy mechanical fitting and mechanical assembly work.
• Work from diagrams and technical specifications
• Check quality at every stage, raising any issues before products move forward
• Complete all relevant paperwork & inspection records
• Keep your work area safe, tidy, and compliant with Health & Safety standards

Experience and Skills

• Have previously worked within a mechanical engineering or mechanical fitting role.
• Ideally have built or assembled mechanical machinery
• Able to work independently but also a great team player
• Be able to read from diagrams and drawings.
• Positive, proactive, and comfortable working to schedules
• Passionate about producing top-quality work
• Reliable, flexible, and keen to learn new skills
• Experience with hand & power tools is essential
