Mechanical Improvers - Required
 
We are looking for Mechanical Improvers to support a maintenance team on a distribution site near Daventry.
 
Ideally looking for Mechanical Improvers who are comfortable of working on a 4on/4off shift pattern consisting of 12 hours per shift. There are days shifts, 6am - 6pm and night shifts, 6pm - 6am available.
 
The role is to monitor any jams or blockages on the conveyor systems, deal with the issues in a professional and efficient manner to ensure the smooth running of the conveyors. 
 
Main Responsibilities:

• Continually monitor mechanical conveyor systems during operation.
• Rapidly attend and clear any jams, blockages, or disruptions in the line.
• Communicate via radio to confirm resolution and system readiness.
• Assist the on site maintenance teams with minor repairs and inspections.
• Help with preventative maintenance tasks and improvement projects.

Requirements:

• Mechanical experience or working towards qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering).
• Understanding of mechanical components, gears, belts, motors, etc.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on a 12 hour shift pattern.
• Good problem solving skills and a practical, hands on approach.
• Health and safety conscious.
