Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Job Description:

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a heavy manufacturer to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their established team in Swadlincote, South Derbyshire.

Salary- £56,000

Shifts- 4 on 4 off days and nights

Benefits: 

• 29 days holiday including Bank holidays

• Overtime available

Duties of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will include:

• Carry out work orders by the Planned Preventative Maintenance system 
• Undertake diagnostic checks in machinery breakdown 
• Complete timely and appropriate remedial work to return the plant to service. 
• Identify any spare part requirements
• Diagnosing breakdown problems
• Install and commission to recognised standards any new or relocated equipment within the site.

We are keen to speak with Mechanical Maintenance Engineers who possess the following:

• Electrically qualified with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
• Ideally apprentice trained
• Have experience within a manufacturing maintenance environment- ideally heavy industry
• Experience with PPM’s and breakdowns
• A sound working knowledge of modern pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components.
