My client is a well-established and respected Building Services Contractor delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical projects across the commercial, industrial, and public sectors. With a reputation built on trust, repeat business, and technical excellence, they are embarking on a healthy order book on an exciting projects within Leicestershire and are looking for a driven Mechanical Project Manager to join their experienced team.

The Role

As Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the full lifecycle of mechanical works - from preconstruction and design review through to installation, commissioning, and handover. You'll work closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical delivery of a major project from inception to completion
• Manage procurement of materials and subcontractors, ensuring value for money and quality
• Review and coordinate mechanical designs, identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency
• Oversee preconstruction planning, programming, and risk management
• Drive project delivery on site, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
• Monitor project progress, costs, and variations, providing accurate reports to senior management
• Lead commissioning and client handover, ensuring all systems are fully tested and documented
• Build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders to promote repeat business

About You

• Proven experience managing mechanical building services projects within commercial, industrial, or public sector environments
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, hot and cold water, plant rooms, and BMS systems
• Excellent understanding of design coordination, procurement, and construction processes
• Confident communicator with strong leadership, negotiation, and client-facing skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure
• Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (HNC/HND/Degree) preferred
