We’re looking for a hands-on Mechanical Technician to support the overhaul of rail equipment at our Derby site. With new projects, upgraded facilities, and a strong reputation for quality, this is a great opportunity to build your skills in a workshop that values craftsmanship and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Stripping, repairing, and rebuilding mechanical rail components
• Using basic engineering machinery and hand tools with care and accuracy
• Following structured work instructions and safety protocols
• Supporting general housekeeping and cross-departmental collaboration
• Participating in training and upskilling initiatives

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in mechanical fitting and troubleshooting
• Ability to read technical drawings and multitask effectively
• Welding, machining, or brazing experience (advantageous)
• FGAS knowledge and rail sector exposure (desirable)
• Strong communication and a collaborative mindset
