Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a committed and resilient Mechanics Teacher to work within a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) setting in Corby. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about vocational education and has a strong understanding of mental health and trauma-informed practice.

• Deliver engaging, practical Mechanics / Motor Vehicle lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH needs

• Adapt learning to meet individual EHCP targets and varying emotional needs

• Build positive, trusting relationships with young people who may have experienced trauma or disrupted education

• Support behaviour regulation using consistent, calm, and therapeutic approaches

• Work collaboratively with pastoral teams, SEN staff, and external professionals

• QTS/QTLS or relevant experience teaching Mechanics in an educational or training setting

• Experience working with SEMH learners or within alternative / specialist provision

• A strong understanding of mental health, attachment, and behaviour as communication

• Excellent behaviour management skills grounded in empathy and consistency

• A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
