Metrology Engineer to support the
development and improvement of measurement and inspection processes across their operations.
Metrology Engineer Permanent Position Monday to Thursday 7.30 to 4pm, Friday 7.30 to 12.30pm Derby (Occasional travel per month) Metrology EngineerJob Description- Review and optimise CMM programs, measurement strategies, and inspection processes
- Develop and implement standardised metrology and CMM programming practices across sites
- Improve inspection efficiency through optimised probing routines, fixturing, and automation
- Provide technical support and leadership for metrology activities across manufacturing teams
- Support NPI, customer audits, and ensure compliance with aerospace measurement standards
Metrology EngineerEssential Skills/Experience/Qualifications- Proven experience as a CMM Programmer or Metrology Engineer within aerospace or precision engineering
- Strong experience using CMM programming software, ideally PC-DMIS
- Excellent understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and complex tolerances
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering (or similar)
