MFL Teacher

Job Description:

Applebough Education is working in partnership with a range of secondary schools across the Coventry and Warwickshire area to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated MFL Teachers who can teach French and Spanish. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate language teachers looking to make a positive impact in supportive school environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging French and Spanish lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)

• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that motivates pupils

• Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress in line with school policies

• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of learners of varying abilities

• Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour

• Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives as required

Person Specification

Essential:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Ability to teach both French and Spanish

• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for MFL

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Desirable:

• Experience teaching in UK secondary schools

• Ability to teach up to KS5

• Experience planning engaging and creative language lessons
