Mobile Plant & Access Engineer

Job Description:

Salary: £30,000-£38,500 + company vehicle, bonus, overtime at time-and-a-half & extra benefits
Hours: 42.5 per week, Monday-Friday

Are you a skilled Mobile Plant Engineer, Plant Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Fitter, or Access Equipment Engineer ready to take ownership of a busy depot fleet? We're looking for a hands-on professional to inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical plant and access equipment-from 17m telehandlers to Bomag 55 rollers.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Inspect, test, maintain, and repair a wide range of fleet equipment as a Plant Mechanic or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
• Identify faults and damage, provide cost estimates, and advise on repairs
• Keep accurate service records and update stock in the workshop
• Assist with deliveries and collections as needed
• Work alongside a team of Mobile Engineers and Plant Technicians

About You:

• Experienced in plant maintenance, mobile plant servicing, and access equipment repair
• Able to work accurately under pressure and to tight deadlines
• NVQ in Plant Operations (or willing to complete) is a bonus
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
• Previous experience as a Plant Fitter, Mechanical Technician, or Access Equipment Engineer is highly desirable
