MOT Tester

Job Description:

IMH Recruitment are looking for an experienced MOT Tester to join our client in Leicester, LE1.

The Role:

• Carry out MOT tests in line with DVSA standards
• Complete compliance checks on taxis and private hire vehicles
• Inspect vehicles to ensure they meet council and road safety standards
• Advise customers on vehicle condition, failures, and required repairs
• Keep accurate records using IT systems
• Support enforcement activities when required
• Assist with opening/closing the testing centre
• Handle payments and general admin tasks
• Support the team and cover for the manager when needed
• Attend court if required to give evidence

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified and experienced MOT Tester
• Good knowledge of DVSA standards
• Experience working with taxis or commercial vehicles (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and record keeping
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team

Hours & Pay:

• Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week - specific hours to be confirmed at interview stage
• £18.68 – £20.16 per hour (depending on experience)
• Weekly pay via agency!
