Multi-Skilled Engineer

Salary: £40,000 to £48,000 + Pension + Access to company vehicle

Location: Burton-On-Trent  

SHIFTS: Shift Pattern: Day 6-3, 7-4pm

The Company

Based within one of Europe’s leading privately owned food manufacturing groups, they are an extremely well established manufacturing group with over 30 years of food production knowledge, and they are looking to recruit an experienced maintenance engineer to add to their existing team. 

Key Skills

• Apprentice Trained Engineer in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience of PLC systems & Automated machinery
• Understanding of PPM systems

The Role

Maintenance & Engineer to take ownership of equipment reliability across three production sites in Burton and Leicester.

This is a hands-on role with a key focus on introducing structure and improving how maintenance is managed across the business.

• Develop and implement a preventative maintenance programme across all sites
• Respond to breakdowns and carry out fault finding and repairs
• Maintain and improve a wide range of production equipment including grinders, fillers, forming and clipping machines
• Identify recurring issues and implement long-term fixes
• Manage and organise spare parts and critical components
• Work closely with production teams to minimise disruption
• Standardise maintenance practices across sites
• Support installation and setup of new equipment
