Job Description:

Night Shift Maintenance Engineer

Location: Manufacturing Site
Salary: £55,200 + Overtime
Shift: Permanent Nights

We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing operation. This role would suit a time-served, hands-on engineer with strong fault-finding ability who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment.

The Role

Working as part of the Engineering team, you will ensure the smooth running of production equipment and plant across the site.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Communicating effectively with the Engineering team and site staff using shift diaries and the email system

• Carrying out essential repairs and adjustments to ensure cooking, production, and packing operations continue without disruption

• Using PPM systems to manage preventative maintenance

• Supporting and promoting a continuous improvement culture across the site

• Diagnosing and repairing faults across a variety of mechanical and electrical systems

Equipment & Systems You Will Work With

The successful candidate will have experience working with a range of industrial systems including:

• Steam systems

• Three-phase electrical systems

• Inverters and PLCs

• Compressed air systems

• Industrial refrigeration

• Mechanical components such as bearings

Experience & Qualifications

We are looking for a practical, experienced engineer who has worked within manufacturing environments.

Essential:

• Electrical qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent experience

• Strong background in manufacturing or industrial maintenance

Shift Pattern

Permanent Nights

• Sunday: 8:00pm - 5:00am

• Monday - Thursday: 8:45pm - 5:00am

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £55,200

• £50 call-out fee regardless of call-out

• Pension: NEST 3/5 contribution

• Life Assurance: 2x salary

• Holiday: 30 days + Christmas shutdown
