Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Job Description:

Our client is a highly sucessful food manufacturer based in Nottingham. They are recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer. This is a fast-paced role, ideal for an ambitious engineer looking for a role with progression.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for designing preventative maintenance routines to reduce downtime.


The role

• Carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical issues across a range of equipment
• Support installation of new machinery
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance, repairs, and improvements
• Work across systems like conveyors, chillers, mixers, and packaging equipment
• Mentor junior team members
  

You

• Multiskilled engineering experience, ideally from a food, FMCG, or manufacturing environment
• Skilled in fault-finding, repair, and maintaining production machinery
• Understanding of PLC-controlled systems, sensors, VFDs, and wiring
• Some hands-on experience with welding, fabrication, or modification of machinery
• Calm under pressure with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
