TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of welcoming early years settings and nurseries across Long Eaton, supporting passionate childcare professionals in making a lasting impact on young children’s lives.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and nurturing Level 2 Qualified Childcare Practitioner to join a supportive and friendly nursery team in NG10. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity within a setting that values teamwork, professional development and creating a positive learning environment for every child.

In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in supporting children’s early learning and development, helping them to build confidence, curiosity and essential life skills in a safe, caring and stimulating environment.

As a Level 2 Childcare Practitioner, you will:

• Support the planning and delivery of engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

• Help create a warm, safe and inclusive learning environment

• Support children’s social, emotional and physical development

• Assist with observations and contribute to children’s learning journeys

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and build positive relationships with parents and carers

• Promote safeguarding, health and wellbeing at all times

• A Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education

• Experience working with children aged 0–5 in a nursery or early years setting

• A warm, patient and caring nature

• Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

• Paediatric First Aid (desirable but not essential)

• A genuine passion for supporting early childhood development

• A proactive, flexible and positive attitude

• The ability to engage and inspire young children through play-based learning

• Commitment to providing a fun, stimulating and safe environment

• Reliability and a strong work ethic

• A supportive and welcoming nursery environment
