Job Description:

Nursery Early Years Practitioner (Full time, temporary)
Location: Derby, Derbyshire
Start Date: Immediately
Salary: £85-£110 per day

Education Personnel is working with a local Derby nursery to recruit a dedicated Nursery Early Years Practitioner. This is an excellent opportunity for a Nursey Practitioner to support children aged 2–5 in a professional and friendly setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, play-based learning activities in line with the EYFS
• Provide 1:1 support and small group interventions for children with varying needs
• Assist with planning and preparing resources to support early years learning
• Observe, monitor, and record children’s progress and development
• Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming learning environment

Requirements:

• Relevant early years qualification (NVQ Level 3, CACHE, or equivalent)
• Experience in a nursery or early years setting
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
• Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues
• Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting young learners
• Ability to adapt activities and resources to meet individual children’s needs
