Essential Requirements – Please Read Before Applying

This role is only suitable for candidates who meet all of the following criteria:

• 2–3+ years’ experience as a Home Manager within a UK care or nursing home

• Proven responsibility for quality, compliance and operational performance

• Strong knowledge of CQC standards and governance requirements

• NVQ Level 4/5 in Leadership & Management (or equivalent)

• Currently living and working in the UK with full right to work

• NMC PIN desirable but not essential (non-PIN applicants must have nursing home management experience)

Pay & Contract

• Salary up to £65,000 per year depending on experience

• Permanent full-time contract (40 hours, days)

Position Overview

This is a senior leadership role for an experienced Nursing Home Manager responsible for overall service quality, regulatory compliance and operational performance.

You will lead a well-established nursing and residential care home, ensuring high standards of care, strong team culture and sustainable operational performance.

Care Categories include:

Elderly Care, Dementia, Learning Disability, Mental Health, ABI, Palliative & End of Life Care, Residential & Nursing Care.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for care quality, compliance and home performance

• Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams delivering person-centred care

• Maintain strong occupancy levels and resident satisfaction

• Manage budgets and financial performance (including P&L responsibility)

• Oversee recruitment, training and workforce planning

• Ensure CQC compliance and inspection readiness while driving service improvement

• Build strong relationships with residents, families and external professionals

What We Are Looking For

• Proven Home Manager experience within a UK care or nursing home

• Strong leadership and people management skills

• Excellent knowledge of CQC standards and governance frameworks

• Experience managing audits, staffing and service improvement programmes

• Ability to maintain stability and high standards during change

This role is not suitable for Deputy Managers or nurses moving into management for the first time.
