Job Description:
Team Leader – Occupational Therapy Adult Social Care & Safeguarding – Contact and Response Team A Council in
Leicestershire is seeking an experienced
Occupational Therapist to join their Contact and Response Team as a
Team Leader. This is a leadership role combining operational oversight, clinical expertise, and service development within Adult Social Care.
Main Duties:
- Provide strong leadership and day-to-day management of the OT team
- Supervise, appraise and develop Occupational Therapists, support staff, and students
- Allocate and review workloads, monitor performance, and manage priorities
- Manage a complex caseload including assessments, major/minor adaptations, and specialist equipment
- Co-work and quality assure complex cases
- Liaise with Housing, Health, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Contribute to policy development, reporting, and service improvement
- Support budget monitoring and performance reporting
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC Registration
- Substantial post-qualification experience, including at least two years in Social Services
- Experience with major adaptations, Disabled Facilities Grants, and specialist equipment
- Experience supervising and leading staff
- Strong knowledge of Community Care legislation
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to travel and work flexibly when required
