Panel Wirer

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Panel Wirer for our client. This position involves assembling and wiring electrical control panels in line with technical specifications and industry standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high-quality electrical assemblies while maintaining safety and efficiency within the workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Review parts lists and verify measurements and specifications prior to assembly.
• Assemble electrical components accurately and securely within control panels.
• Wire components in accordance with approved wiring schematics.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults, carrying out repairs where necessary.
• Perform routine checks and assist with preventative maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Follow all company and industry health and safety regulations.
• Use materials and resources efficiently to minimise waste.

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in panel wiring or electrical assembly (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and relevant workshop equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Good manual dexterity and hand–eye coordination.
• Ability to carry out repetitive tasks while standing or sitting for extended periods.
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing and quality control processes.
• Good eyesight, including the ability to distinguish between colours.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
