Passenger Assistant – Nottinghamshire 
Location: NG2 7QP
Contract: 4 months initial

split shift 07:30-09:30 and 14:30-16:30 Monday to Friday. term time only,

About the Role
We are looking for a caring and reliable Passenger Assistant to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) on their daily journey to and from school. You will travel with passengers on a designated route, ensuring their safety, comfort, and wellbeing throughout the journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pupils with boarding and leaving the vehicle safely.

• Ensure seat belts, harnesses, and other safety equipment are used correctly.

• Provide reassurance and appropriate support to children and young people with a range of needs.

• Communicate effectively with parents/carers, schools, and transport staff.

• Report any concerns or incidents promptly.

About You

• Patient, compassionate, and able to build positive relationships with children and young people.

• Reliable and punctual with a responsible attitude.

• Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

• Experience of working with children, young people, or vulnerable groups is desirable but not essential (full training provided
