We are working with an award-winning SME business serving clients across manufacturing, retail, media, and healthcare sectors throughout the UK. This is a pivotal role within the business, combining operational expertise with hands-on payroll administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring full compliance with statutory regulations, supporting business planning with accurate payroll reporting, and contributing to a high-performing finance function.

What will you do as a Payroll Advisor?
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a number of clients—from sole traders/ multi-employee
- Set up new starters and process leavers
- Calculate salaries, statutory payments, SSP, SMP, pension contributions, and deductions
- Process / submit Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC in accordance with statutory deadlines,
- Ensure Auto Enrolment compliance and upload data to pension portals
- Produce year-end documentation (P60s), and register new PAYE schemes
- Provide professional & courteous support to client enquiries, whether in person or by phone
- Support the Payroll Manager in day-to-day tasks & continuous improvement of payroll processes
What do you need as a Payroll Advisor?
- In-depth understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory compliance requirements
- Experience in Auto Enrolment processes and pension scheme administration
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in client-facing interactions
- Self-motivated and proactive, excellent time management and the ability to work independently
- High level of accuracy & attention to detail, with the ability to perform under pressure
