Payroll Apprentice

Location: Leicestershire

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Regional Recruitment are looking for a Payroll Apprentice to assist with the daily operations within our Payroll Department. As our Payroll Apprentice, you'll be more than just a number cruncher - You will be a trusted part of the team, that keeps our organisation running smoothly, playing a vital role in supporting our colleagues. This role offers excellent exposure to a wide range of Payroll functions, and provides a strong foundation for someone looking to build their career within the sector.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Chasing and processing timesheets
• Processing weekly payroll for Temporary staff
• Setting up new starters on the payroll system
• Preparing and sending sales invoices
• Processing purchase orders
• Data entry and maintaining accurate financial records
• Credit control, including chasing outstanding payments
• Paying suppliers and reconciling supplier statements
• Assisting with bank reconciliations

Requirements 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (Essential)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively (Essential)
• Possess a strong attention to detail (Essential)
• Possess good organisational skills (Essential)
• Demonstrates a willingness to learn and develop (Essential)
• Experience using Sage Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll (Desirable)
• Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Desirable)
