Payroll Assistant

Job Description:

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Payroll Assistant to join their established and growing business based in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving organisation with a strong market presence and a workforce across multiple UK locations.

You will support the Payroll Manager in delivering accurate and timely payroll services and contribute to the smooth running of the payroll and finance function.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting weekly and two fortnightly payrolls processed on alternate weeks

• Processing new starters timesheets pension entries and deductions including AEOs and fines

• Managing pension contributions

• Maintaining employee and contract records on the Timegate system

• Assisting the accounts team with registering purchase invoices and sending for authorisation

• Working collaboratively to improve processes and drive efficiency within the department

• Previous payroll experience is desirable

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Able to prioritise and work effectively in a fast paced environment

• Proactive adaptable and willing to learn
